ten thousand dollars
In Raisin in the Sun, i think mama should do a number of things. First off, I think she should go on a trip somewhere like Italy or France for a while and possibly take someone with her because she talked about not going somewhere alone because she would look stupid. Then, she should donate a few thousand of her dollars to Beneatha's college fund because Medical school is very expensive and she wants to be a doctor. Lastly, She could contribute to Walter buying a house because they live in a very poor house and don't have very nice things.

The Day Was Cold
The Day Was Cold
By: Dante West
I awoke around 5 A.M. when my blaring alarm went off in my ear. I sluggishly got out of my warm fortress of a bed and looked outside. I could hear the light pitter-patter as snowflakes fell on my roof. I could tell it would be a cold day. I hesitantly turned on the shower to wake myself but the hot water felt like blankets and I almost drifted into a slumber. As I walked outside into the mid-morning chill, even my three heavy coats and dark purple scarf couldn’t keep me from shivering. I ran quickly to the car through the crunching snow, sloshing under my feet and turned on the heater, sweet relief. Then I realized I couldn’t drive because the frost had covered the windows and froze like a tiny ice rink on my windshield. Finally once my windows defrosted, I headed out into the vast wasteland of streets, for nobody dared go outside into the frigid environment. I stopped at Starbucks and got a frothy cup of hot chocolate that soothed my mouth with flavors of the cocoa bean. I could almost taste the sweet sensation on cinnamon rolls in my mouth . I decided to stay in the heated shelter of Starbucks till the day was more suitable for my liking. I looked outside and saw that tiny, beautiful snowflakes were slowly starting to fall. Soon, hundreds were glistening in the air, as I made the long trek to work the fresh smell of the new air was enjoyable . Upon arriving, the chilled handle of the brass door to my job as a peanut butter manufacturer, wouldn’t turn. I looked up and saw the metal sign announcing, “No work, snow day”. I then realized I had left the warm comforts of my bed for nothing. Begrudged, I traveled home across the newly fallen powder, making the first tracks of the day. I spotted a young boy who had also been locked out due to a snow day. I offered to give him a lift home but then he expressed his love for the snow so I had let him be. I did give him my hot chocolate though.
